Crime Stats Maps

As of 2008, the individual monthly crime maps listed below are no longer being maintained.   However, you can now use the OPD's CRIMEWATCH site, where you can put in your address and see reported crimes in your neighborhood, over a time period that you choose.  You can find the CRIMEWATCH system here:

You can also look at an interactive Google map showing recent crimes, Oakland Crimespotting.  The site uses published OPD data and as of 11/3/08 was 2 days behind.

Newsflash

You've probably read about it in the newspaper, or seen it on a Yahoo group.  Chief Anthony Batts of the OPD has put out a strategic plan for the police department, and he wants YOUR input on it!  The 4 public meetings he scheduled are over, but you can still review the plan yourself and respond.  Here is the plan itself, and the presentation:
