Do you ever wonder what happens to someone after the police arrest them?  How does that portion of the criminal justice system work?  The August 13 meeting of the Greater Rockridge NCPC will have 2 speakers on the subject:

A representative from the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office (TBA)

Mr. William Locke, a recently retired Public Defender for Alameda County

The speakers have asked that any questions for them be sent to them at least 2 weeks before the meeting, so they can prepare their responses.  We need your questions by July 30.  The NCPC board already plans to ask two questions:

  1. How does the District Attorney’s office decide whether to prosecute or not?
  2. What is the Clean Slate program and how does it work?

If you have any other questions about this process, for either speaker, please send them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before July 30.
