Only call 911 from a land line!

From a cell phone call 777-3211 which routes directly to OPD dispatch.  For MEDICAL OR FIRE EMERGENCIES ONLY, you can call the Fire Department directly at 510-444-1616.

To report a crime that has already happened, call the non-emergency number 777-3333, or fill in OPD's Online Crime Reporting form.  You'll find the link on their Report a Crime page.

To learn what police beat you're in, check the Police District Locator.  Enter your address and the map will show:

  • what policing area you're in,
  • what beat you're in,
  • the name and meeting address of the local NCPC,
  • dates and times of the meetings,
  • the name and email of the Neighborhood Services Coordinator (NSC)
  • an address where you can reach your beat's Community Resource Officer (CRO)

Crime was largely unchanged from June to July.  Numbers for no type of crime changed by more than 3 incidents either up or down in either beat, except crimes against the person in 13X, which dropped from 5 incidents in June to 1 in July.  There were no INCIDENTS WITH MULTIPLE CHARGES in either beat this month.
