Email the NCPC at chair@rockridgencpc.com if you have items you'd like to add to the NCPC agenda.  Click here to see the current agenda.

Please note:  in 2020 we are changing the start time of our meetings from 7:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

Cabaret Application for 5515 College Avenue

Check our page on Alcoholic Beverage License applications for links to a new cabaret application at 5515 College Avenue, the address formerly occupied by The Hut.  This application was filed on October 20 with the City of Oakland.

Since a "cabaret application" is not a standard Alcoholic Beverage License application, we aren't sure what the filing and public comment rules are.  Our Neighborhood Services Coordinator, Patricia Rose, may be able to answer questions at This email address is being protected from spambots. Next NCPC Meeting is Thursday, October 13

Join the Greater Rockridge Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) at our free bi-monthly October meeting. Meet your Community Resource Officers, hear their report on neighborhood crime and public safety.  Our October speaker will be Farrah Hussein, the north Oakland representative from the Neighborhood Law Corps, a unit of the City Attorney's Office.  The NLC's focus is on problem properties and neighborhood nuisances, including illegal dumping.  Come and hear her discuss these and other issues.

The meeting is at 7:30 PM, Thursday, October 13, in the Rockridge Library.

NCPC Booth at Rockridge Out & About

The Greater Rockridge NCPC will have a booth at Rockridge Out & About on Sunday, October 9!  We want to meet the neighborhood, hand out safety flyers, and answer questions.  BUT – there are only 4 of us and we can’t do this alone; we need your help.  Out & About lasts from noon to 6; we need volunteers to help us cover two 3 hour shifts, from noon to 3 and from 3 to 6.  We could also use volunteers, not necessarily the same ones, to help set up the booth (from 10:30 to noon) and break it down (from 6 to 7).

This isn’t hard – you just need to be there, smile at people, and answer questions; and one of the NCPC officers will be there with you if the questions are too weird.  We’ll provide a cooler with iced bottled water, and energy snacks.

If you’d like to volunteer, we’re using Signup.com to organize this. Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:
