The speaker at the November 12 meeting (next Thursday) will be Rebecca Saltzman, the BART Director for this district. Ms. Saltzman will speak on BART's plans to improve and expand the system, after our usual discussion of crime and priorities.
“BART… and you’re there. “ It’s no surprise that traffic becomes gridlocked when BART trains aren’t running. That point was made painfully clear during two BART strikes during 2013 - both of which curtailed the commute for millions of drivers. But did you know that there’s another significant issue the media isn’t talking about, which could have an even greater impact on your daily commute than a strike if BART doesn’t resolve the matter soon? Join Rebecca Saltzman, one of BART’s nine elected members of the agency’s Board of Directors, for a sneak peek behind the scenes on what it takes to run BART safely and reliably and to keep traffic moving in the decades to come.
