April’s revised report for 12Y, taken June 5, was almost twice the size of the original report taken on May 5 – 83 crime reports as opposed to 42. As usual, auto-related property crimes were the largest category, 49 reports. In fact, across the first 5 months of 2026, auto-related property crimes in 12Y ranged from 41 to 49 per month. The second and third largest groups of crimes in 12Y were general property crimes (burglaries and various other thefts) and quality of life crimes (largely vandalism). I’m relieved to see that there were only 2 crimes against the person in 12Y in April, and none in May. Unusually, the April revision had no cases where a single report charged multiple crimes at the same time and location.
Beat 13X as usual had much smaller numbers – 8 reports in the revised April report and 10 in the May report. Of the reports in 13X, 2 in April and 4 in May were general property crimes, and 3 in April and 1 in May were auto-related property crimes. In May, 12Y and 13X each had 1 case where a single incident had 2 charges at the same time and location.
12Y had one unexplained death report in April and 2 in May. 13X had no unexplained death reports in April and 1 in May.
